Event Registration
Every event organiser wants to control the experience of how a participant finds your event, registers, pays, links with social media (Facebook/Twitter) and subsequently recieves their event update information and final timing. Unless your organising the London Marathon, it is unlikely that you have the time, the technical abilitiy or the budget to do some of these, let alone all of them, really well!
Race Director can make all of these a reality for your event without blowing your budget or requiring you to be a technical wizz. Very simply we can handle the event registration, collecting fees and passing them on to you, we'll handle cancellations, refunds, bib assignment, printing & distribution and then on race day we'll integrate live timing updates* to social media and our website and/or yours.
We also understand that you may not want another company involved and require a more bespoke service. We have experience of building completely custom race registation processes, taking the pain our of launching your event yet maintaining control of the overal experience. For an example of our previous work, checkout Centurion Running.
Finally, we understand you may already have an event registration system in place and as such don't need another partner, yet you still need a timing solution with live updates to the web and social media. All you need to do is provide us with a document prior to the event with the entry information and we'll handle the rest.
Timing
We use state of the art timing hardware that has been tried and tested over the years at events such as the Manchester Marathon (UK), the Two Oceans Marathon (SA) and the Norseman Triathlon (NOR). Our team will work with you to understand the requirements to time your event, implementing the correct hardware to meet the needs to each of your races.
The Ultra4 timing system is our mid range solution designed specifically for cycling and multi-sport events which typically use side antennas or as a split timing point for larger ruunning events with antenna mats. With 4 antenna ports the Ultra4 system can be coupled with antenna mats and/or side antennas and is capable of reading any unlocked Gen2 UHF tag on the market.
The Ultra8 is our ultimate solution designed specifically for running events with more than 500 participants or where the maximum number of antennas need to be deployed. With the ability to connect up to 8 antennas this system gives the user the greatest flexibility to time events of any size.
Tracking
Personal Trackers
We offer personal tracking devices which can be attached to your rucksack or belt, that provide real time visibility of your location. This information is sent to our server, processed and we then share your location during the event or challenge you are undertaking.
As an indidivudal, perhaps you are off on a long hiking holiday, biking across the country, taking your Duke of Edinburgh or running an iconic trail in a remote part of the world. Whatever you are undertaking, we have a tracker that your friends & family can use to monitor your progress and ensure you are safe and well.
Event Organisers
If you are an event organiser and want the best way to provide a safety net for all of your competitors, we can supply trackers that can be used for montioring the progress of each and every person during your event. With updates sent on a configurable basis from every 10 seconds, you are provided with a dashboard showing the progress of every participant. Our tracking system also doubles up as the timing solution, logging people in to checkpoints and when they get to the finish line.
What's different?
Our trackers are slightly different to some of the others you may have used in the past. They are completely sealed units, protecting them from the elements and removing any power switches that often get knocked during an event (or completely forgotten about before the start). The units come with 4 eyelets, that allow you to attach the tracker to your pack easily. They also operate pretty well in an external pocket, just don't cover them with your foil blanket, although this isn't our recommended placement.
The trackers are just under 100grams and are a little smaller than a 4 finger kitkat chocolate bar. You won't notice the weight and once attached you'll forget it was ever there.

Bib Printing

We offer bib printing and distribution services for your events which when combined with our race registration offering, means you have one less hassle to think about.
Our bibs can be printed to your specification with single or multiplle colours, ranging in sizes, from a standard (220mm x 210mm), to A5 (148mm x 210mm) and even DL (99mm x 210mm). All our bibs are waterproof, tear proof, light-weight and fully recyclable and printed on Tyvek/Synaps/Teslin. With optional extras such as stripes or banded colours, reverse medical instructions or tear-off bag tags, we have you covered.
If Race Director are providing the timing solution for your event, we will attach suitable RFID tags to the bibs as required. This saves time at race registration and is provided at no additional cost. Optionally you can add tags to bikes or race bibs at race registration although in our experience this can lead to longer times and possible mistakes of mistagging especially in larger events.
Web & Mobile App Development
Race Director offers completely bespoke development services so that your event will have a modern web presence that is accessible on all devices anywhere in the world. We have built our own online event registration processes that can be embedded directly in to your site, with your own branding and look and feel.
Real time updates to the site when people register, when events sell out or when a race is in progress and people are passing specific points. Providing your spectators a real time view of what is happening at your event without actually being there.
Tracking athletes in near real time is critical for remote events in mountanous terrain. For this reason we have build out mobile applications that you are able to use to receive updates of the GPS location when mobile signal is available. Race directors have the detailed paths athletes have taken and are able to use this assist in finding lost people and getting them back on track.
There are really no limits the possibilities, chances are we have done it before and if not, we can probably add it to our kit bag easily enough.
